STATESMAN'S JUST BE KIND

Thank you, Jenni, for the following real life story:

Something magical happened today in Canyonlands.

While we were out exploring with Archie, a family came over and asked if their son could meet our dog. As soon as we said, "His name is Archie," the little boy lit up and shouted, "We found him! We found Archie!"

With a lot of excitement they went on to tell us that, for the past three days, they'd been encouraging their son to hike by saying they were searching for a special dog. When he asked the dog's name, his dad made one up: Archie!

And today, after days of hiking and hoping, he found the special dog named Archie.

It was a sweet, serendipitous moment none of us will forget.
