THE CASE OF THE MISSING WELSH SPRINGER SPANIELS

It started with Hurricane Helene in September 2024. A few trees and lots of branches came down. The branches were added to the brush pile in the fenced in back yard.

Recently Gracee could not be found in the back yard even after calling her name repeatedly. As Susan was heading back to the house, Gracee came running past her towards the back door. A few days later Sophie disappeared. She was no where in sight in the backyard until her head popped up from the brush pile.

It is interesting that both Gracee and Sophie are pregnant. Gracee is due in two days and Sophie a week later. The first Statesman litter was in 1979. The pregnant dam kept trying to dig a hole between some trees. She was trying to make a nest. Gracee and Sophie have probably been trying to build nests for their litters.
