A friend saw an advertisement for gundog/sporting statues in the UK. He ordered the Welsh springer spaniel statue. This statue embodies so many of the virtues we like to see in our dogs: Slightly square muzzle with slightly divergent angle from the skull, small ear set correctly, topline with some gentle curves, and tail set just below the level of the back. He has good spring of rib, a beautiful front assembly with an excellent protruding point of shoulder between the elbow and withers, and in the rear wide thighs and well let down hocks.

I wonder what Welsh springer served as the model for this statue.
